How to Make Our Cities More Beautiful

Here is a text written by my student Abraham Mach from the evening class about how to make our cities more beautiful. Here is what he has written.

More cars, air pollution and litter are among the biggest issues in our cities that we are facing nowadays. What can we do to make our cities very attractive to the residents and tourists?

First of all, it will be good idea if the government encourages people to drive their cars on week days only. On weekends the government should  increase public transport especially so people can travel easily. There will be fewer cars on the roads and fewer traffic jams.

Secondly, there are some steps that need to be taken by the government to solve the problem of the air pollution. All the factories should be removed away from our city to reduce the smell of petrol and reduce air pollution in our cities. No resident should dwell around factories. In this way, the air will not be so polluted. Our cities will be attractive to residents and more tourists will consider coming here.

Finally, we need to commit ourselves to making our city cleaner and healthier places to live. Local councils should put more litter bins in the streets. If anyone is caught dropping rubbish or spiting on the ground, there will be a hifty penalty  and he or she will have to pay the whole amount of money within five working days. This will stop people from dropping rubbish and spitting in the streets.

We have many ways to make our cities better places to dwell. Some of the above mentioned would definitely result in the better conditions for everyone.
