Busy Weekend

I had a very busy weekend. My friend moved house on Saturday and I went over to help him. He had other people helping him too. There were about ten other people who were carrying furniture to a truck that was parked outside in the street. We carried many boxes to the new house. We also had a lovely meal at about two o'clock in the afternoon.
On Sunday there was a BBQ at the Arabic school that my children attend in Doncaster East. There were many parents who helped cook different types of food. The children enjoyed playing together after classes finished. Some of the parents painted the faces of the children. When you look at the faces of the children who had their faces painted you can immediately tell that the people who did the job are not professional artists.
The Arabic School is a very special one. The teachers there are the parents of the children. They don't get paid. They volunteer to work there. The children come to school for four hours every Sunday. They learn Arabic, make friends and get to spend a great time.
After the BBQ I took my daughter and her friends to a park in Mont Albert North. The park has a mini train that kids like to ride. It is not expensive at all. A ticket costs only three dollars and the kids go on the train for about seven minutes. Adults can ride the train too. I am sure they have as much fun as the children. The mini train is run by volunteers. They don't get paid. They like to put a smile on every child's face. My daughter took a ride on the train twice. One ride is not enough. After the train rides she played at the park for about one hour with her friends.
